Works great. I'm not sure if it has a fan or not, but either way it's very quiet, if not completely silent. Works well to power my laptop. By the way, before buying an inverter, it's a good idea to check the power rating of whatever you plan to power. Locate the numbers on your device's power adapter. If it shows you amps instead of watts, you need to multiply amps by voltage to find the number of watts. For example, a "5V 10A" power supply would have an output of 50W.
