I bought this mainly based on comments from a popular reviewer in his personal review of the same vise regarding the specific gravity of these vises approximately 7.71 kg. I haven't squeezed the vise with all my might yet, which is quite a lot. I'm not a strong man, and I'm nowhere near as strong as the guys you see in the World's Strongest Man competition, although I have twisted the jaws of this vise a bit in my three or so months of using and using this one Vice. So far it has been reliable, to say the least. In terms of opening and closing, the jaws are fairly smooth, with no grinding or metal-on-metal feel. It has sharp, rough edges that definitely need to be sanded or sanded down to make it the safest in your shop, office, or wherever you are. Having sanded, filed and even finished the rough edges with a dremelin, all I can say is that it looks fantastic. After doing this I feel more confident watching our little boys play with dad's vise lol because they were pretty sharp on the raw edges. Is it generally worth buying these vices? I would give him two thumbs up and maybe a little toe or two lol. No seriously, this is a really great vise at an affordable price. As far as super-heavy industrial use goes, I can't comment, but for most general use cases I'd say people are going to go and get it. It should also be noted that YOU should check the weight of the product in the description when looking at things to buy, especially because as I said before Vise the weight of this vise is literally twice the weight of other vises in this price and category. The weight alone speaks volumes. I know I'm glad I got this as I've used it almost every day since the day it arrived!
