Review on πŸ”ͺ DMT Diafold Sharpener - Extra Fine Grit for Enhanced Precision by Saul Rivera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This product from the world is amazing.

I received this product around 3pm today and am writing this review at 10pm because it shocked me. Up to this point in my life I had used oil and wet stones and thought Japanese wet stones were the best thing in the world. One day Revain recommended this product to me and when I wanted to lighten my backpack a bit by substituting a bit of stone and steel I thought heck, I'll give it a try. I ended up tweaking my skinning knife, my axe, my kitchen knife and even went to my brothers to make his knives. What used to take me 10-15 minutes on a wet rock now takes me 5 minutes, including pulling with an old strap. During this time, my knives easily cut paper and shave like never before. I usually shy away from writing a review to see how it holds up, but after 5 blades and no sign of sharpener warping, I couldn't wait to share my thoughts. This sharpener is very well made and you can tell the people who make it care a lot about making a good product. The sharpener's handle, which folds around the stone portion for protection, is made of lightweight plastic and is held in place by two pins. It's the only part that fails in my opinion, but to be honest it will probably hold up if it's not ripped open. This is a fantastic product that makes sharpening quick and easy. I only wish I had added this to my 'wish list' 6 months ago because I was skeptical of how well it would work. I will buy this product again if needed, but now I buy coarse/extra coarse for blades that need reshaping. Great DMT product!
