Our dog responds to strangers, men and brown trucks, mail trucks, FedEx, neighbors pulling in front of their driveway, starting lawn mowers, everything! She starts barking, then runs out the door on occasion, trying to protect the property. But she's not an alpha dog, puzzle me. I don't know how it happened, but she's adopted and it might have something to do with trauma before we got her. I tried everything with her, CARES was a long process that I worked on all summer and by the end I didn't understand how oversensitive she is to strangers. She is very dedicated, but even that didn't work. This was the last straw and the response was immediate and the compliance to No Bark and No Chase was amazing to me. We immediately track each usage with lots of praise and cookies. I wish I had had this 8 years ago when we first saw the behavior.
