Looks great on my dog. Yes, the gold plating wears away on the rings, but the collar didn't gray her coat around her neck like normal "chrome" collars do. The collar is also better for NOT breaking the hair on the neck and wearing/washing it. Most importantly, she hasn't broken him yet. She is only six months old, but she ran to the end of the tie chain wearing ordinary chokers and tore it without missing a step. As if she were without clothes! FYI, I won't leave her tied to a choker alone. Only if I work somewhere and she wants to be with me. Collar with buckle strap that she will slip out of no matter how tight it is. No company seems to weld chain links and rings to chokers anymore. Maybe on HUGE necklaces, but that doesn't help me with a 4-6 month old puppy wearing a 16-20 inch necklace. She broke them all! This one has held up so far!
