I LOVE this! I don't want to spend $300 on these high quality noise canceling headphones. I sit with my 100 YEAR OLD FATHER (!) while he watches TV. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II and would stand on deck and yell "FIRE!" He said their biggest guns literally blew everyone on deck down. And then they had very poor hearing protection. So his hearing is BAD but his brain is fine and he loves to watch biographies, travel shows and historical shows. Three categories not known for being overly loud. if you are hard of hearing. I don't want to give him headphones because he can make it so loud it further impairs his hearing. So I wear foam ear tips with this headset over them. WOW! I can still hear his loud TV, but it's pretty quiet and I can hear my show/movie/lecture at a normal volume without damaging MY hearing. I LOVE IT! I'll get a second pair so I don't have to worry about it until the battery charges!
