I have used them to seal packs of bread, crackers and biscuits after opening. No more old biscuits, bread etc. They are inexpensive and work like a charm. This is the second set as other family members asked if they could do a clip or two and commented that it's much better than the ones they have. Very durable, nothing has broken or fallen apart in the last year. Bright colors are cool. Use them to attach notes to the fridge, but that's not their primary function. Magnets are good for that, and I think a lot of the complaints about magnet strength come from being used for something they weren't designed for. It may be worth looking under the heavy-duty magnetic clips if you're looking to hang something that will support weight.
