While this device is beautiful and made of metal, it does not offer SSD-to-metal thermal conductivity. It comes with a thermal pad that only acts as an insulator for the drive as the thermal pad does not come in contact with metal. This is a huge problem. During large/long data transfers, the drive heats up, the thermal pad heats up and cannot transfer this heat to the metal case.
