Not the most stylish and compact design but good value and I've had good luck with PAC products in the past, rebuilding a car audio system, mostly using what I already had . So I settled on an old Alpine head unit. Eventually it was replaced with a newer Kenwood dedicated to USB and Aux inputs, as well as a more powerful Class D internal amplifier. But I wasn't planning on using the radio's internal power, just external amplifiers. Alpine had an excellent CD section and now have inexpensive dongles to use Alpine's lossless CD changer input, as well as I-Pod inputs for Auxiliary and Blue Tooth input. But I felt I had to overcome the relatively low 2 volts. Limits before outs. So I bought 1 line driver/level balancer and hooked it up to test on the dyno. After sending the full range front pre-outs to my Yamaha receiver (in my shop) all I can say is wow and I've ordered another one for my subwoofer. The bluetooth worked great, the audio was clear, loud and free of induced noise from the PAC line driver. So if you know you're going to be using lower-end "handy" devices, like everyone who carries a phone in the car, whether you like it or not, but for now, I promise, add before Add a line driver (1) to your main unit when the signal arrives at or multiple times from your main unit (if you know it has a low pre-out and you want to control all your sources.
