I like it - it works, it's safe and reliable. If I were a single parent this would get 5 stars. Although I'm not a single parent and my wife hates - HATES - this gate. She cursed our daughter more when trying to pick the lock on that gate than in any other context. There was a moment I thought she could throw it across the room, but the bolt caught on her sweater and she just fell with it in defeat. it was a barrier to her bathroom. I tried stepping over the gate (which I can because I'm a giant) because I didn't want to mess with the mechanism and was tired. I broke my toe kicking the door when I jumped over the gate. The gate is not to blame. I dared not see this as an obstacle. But it's worth noting that even I prefer not to fiddle with the lock when I'm tired. It's not a good gateway for high-traffic areas populated by mechanically averse spouses or sleep-deprived people. This is great for permanently isolating a specific area of the house that you will never set foot in again.
