I have this in the garage for 2 reasons: camping and winter driving. We camp in hot tents from time to time so it's important to know when CO levels are above safe limits. For this purpose it works very well. In the video I posted you can see how it reacts to the level of CO in the garage right after starting a cold car. I kept the garage door closed for about 2 minutes to better understand how CO builds up over time in a 1 car garage. The reader was positioned behind the machine approximately 1.5 feet off the ground for the first 2 minutes. After that I placed it on my ATV behind the car about 3 feet from the exhaust pipe with the garage door fully open. The outside temperature was -25F, inside about 30F.
