Review on Rupes LHR 15ES Orbital Polisher by Marcus Braunstein

Very very good machine. Bought recently, very happy with the functionality. The device is a bit heavy and requires little effort. Don't be fooled by professional online videos that make polishing easy. Even with this wonderful machine, the polishing process is physically demanding. Rupes has enough power and is pretty easy to master. The learning curve is quite small and you will probably only have a few instances where the buffer leads you and you don't the buffer. The pads are easy to put on and take off. The cord is quite long, but you will most likely need a strong extension cord. My previous experience was with older machines with wool pads. This rupes with foam pads is a much better way. After a few months of using the 15ES, I think it would have been better to order a Mini. This was for my personal car only and I won't go into detail every week. The large size 15ES is really only needed once a year, or maybe less often. Once your car is in good condition, all a person really needs is something small to prevent a few minor scratches from showing up and maybe a quick polish. I would have preferred taking out the Mini once a month rather than the big 15ES which is too heavy for simple paintwork maintenance. If you just want to build your own personal car then I would recommend the Mini.
