This is a low quality replica of the Tumi 26141 Expandable Laptop Briefcase. I bought it because I like the design of Tumi but I don't want to spend $375 for it a briefcase. This bag is a fairly exact replica of the Tumi in appearance. It includes three zipped front pockets, a central zipped main compartment and a padded zipped compartment on the back. It also includes a magazine holder on the back that zips open at the bottom, allowing you to slide the bag over the handle of a trolley case. It measures 16 x 12 x 5.5 inches without handles. At around $70, it's a lot cheaper than the Tumi. Considering the $300 price difference, I don't expect this bag to be on par with the Tumi in terms of quality. $70 is still a lot for a Chinese made fabric and I have several other portfolios in this price range. Unfortunately, the quality of the components and design choices don't even justify the $70 asking price. Here's why I don't like this bag: 1. The zippers are very tight and difficult to zip up and open I have several other $70 bags that have quality, easy-to-use zippers and there's no reason these don't 2 The zippers on the two main compartments only go about halfway down the sides of the bag, making it very difficult to open the bag and extract anything while it is lying flat (e.g. on the seat next to the driver in a car). Most competing bags in this price range have zips that go all the way down either side of the main compartment, allowing you to fully open the bag. The front and back of the bag has a thin plastic frame inside the nylon which prevents the nylon from being flexible in those areas, and a plastic or metal tube/wire runs around the outside (inside) of the bag's center. made of nylon). These supports are bound to warp, bend or break at some point and also make it difficult for the bag to get into hard-to-reach places. The whole point of buying a nylon briefcase is its flexibility and durability, and those internal plastic frames defeat both purposes. Better designed bags in the same price range use slightly thicker nylon or soft foam to hold the bag's shape while still remaining flexible. Again, this contradicts the $70 price tag. The organizers in the pockets are made with harder plastic instead of flexible nylon. The lack of flexibility of the front pocket and main pocket organizers makes it difficult to use these pockets for anything that doesn't fit perfectly in the organizer. Also not enough pockets for things like wallets, cell phones, batteries etc.5. The inside of the bag is black. Combined with the inability to fully open the bag, the dark interior makes finding things deep inside the bag difficult. Many competing bags have a black exterior to hide dirt, but use a very light gray or brown interior to better see the bag's interior. Please note that my criticism of the interior color also applies to Tumi bags (which are also black on the inside), but at least the Tumi bags open wider to make it easier to see inside. Unlike the Tumi, this bag doesn't stretch. This was something I knew beforehand and it didn't affect my rating, but I mention it because it's not obvious on the Revain.com listing.
