. . . wore these headphones. I use them every day at work to focus on programming because I have an operations manager next to me. Why would a programmer sit next to a person who chats all day? i think she likes me But it's good, like these headphones! These headphones also work well at home. I have a neighbor upstairs who I will call Thumbelina to protect the innocent. I can't understand how a little girl like that can stomp around like Clydesdale every minute she's home. Are they working to drown it out? The short answer is yes. Now I don't want to pretend that these headphones completely neutralize the naughty neighbor. It's like saying that a positive attitude will solve all problems in your life. These headphones just make things better than when I'm not wearing them, just like a positive attitude helps you do everything better than a negative one. So with these kids I can watch a movie and not think about Thumbelina upstairs. So what do you get? 1. AMAZING noise reduction for intermittent noises like the hum of an air conditioner or airplane engines.2. Good noise cancellation for the Clydesdale that lives above you.3. Good noise canceling for the chatty Katie sitting next to you. For me, these headphones are game changers. They're comfortable, fidelity is good, and they do a good job of noise-cancellation. . . why only four stars You are a little skinny. I'm very, very careful with them because I want them to last a long time. However, I suspect they will only do so for about a year or two. I would give them 4.25 stars if that was an option. What about the costs? I think there were about three bills when I got them. Yes. . . You're worth it. I would do it again. How about the battery consumption? Actually not bad. I would say I replace a AAA battery about every two weeks. Accuracy? These aren't studio monitors, if that's what you mean. They're good enough for me, but I'm not an audiophile. I listen to radio podcasts at 56 kbps.
