These water filter cartridges are essential when filling up drinking water on a boat or van. They filter out so many impurities and improve the taste when drinking or cooking with drinking water. Most marine storage tanks are used for all water consumption. My husband hooked up a filter to the dock so the water would go to the water softener, then to that filter, and then to the boat's holding tank. Two packs come in handy as we keep one at the dock and the other in the boat locker to fill up the boat in other ports. This brand is affordable. I recommend. It is very easy to use, just insert the mesh into the ends of the filters and work for a few minutes to clean it. If you fill the storage tank directly then no extension hose is supplied but I kept this from other filter packs we have bought in the past. Use this on our 1999 Searay Sundancer.
