A good buy in my opinion

I have recently started woodworking and turning and needed to find an apron or robe that would stand up to a tough day in the workshop. This apron is long enough, not too short (mine is just over 6ft) and not too long to snag on all my tools. It's a heavy canvas impregnated with wax, but it doesn't look like a typical waxed canvas to me. It has a certain pliability so it moves with you instead of getting stiff like some seem to do. I love that it has shoulder pads on the straps so you don't bite down on a 1/2 inch wide strip of canvas all day. It can get uncomfortable after a while, but with padding (think backpack shoulder straps) it's fine for hours. Turning tool / chisel. The pockets are easy to access even with gloves on and some of the pockets have a flap to keep dust/dirt out when you use them for your phone like I did. Canvas, the summer can get a bit warm with it. The downside, of course, in the winter is that if, like me, your shop doesn't have air conditioning or heating, it should help you stay a bit warm. Okay, my shop is actually a room under my house (not a basement, but not underground either). I bought several different aprons looking for the right one until finally I found this one. I think it offers enough protection and still gives you freedom of movement to work on your projects. Other aprons were either too brittle (one fell apart after a slanted chisel accidentally dropped), while others were too stiff and didn't offer the flexibility needed for comfortable working. This apron offers everything that, in my opinion, allows for comfortable and safe working.
