instructions are VERY good. and the included hardware is fantastic - pretty much everything you could possibly need. The mounts themselves are very solid. until they are fully extended. The sliding "sleeves" at the ends are very strong plastic, but they are held in place by three pairs of protrusions on metal clips. As long as two of those protrusions are still in contact with the metal, they're golden, giving you about 6 inches of space. If you try to pull out the last 6/10 inches as advertised, they will likely fall on you. This is really only an issue for ultra-deep soundbars or Dolby Atmos setups where you need to ditch a deep TV. Unfortunately I bought them to install the Vizio Elevate Soundbar which is a MONSTER. The soundbar itself has an overall depth of 6.5 inches, with no extra room for cables (which thankfully clip to the bottom of the soundbar). The mounts that the Vizio includes are ridiculous (not enough wall mount to keep the soundbar level), so a third-party solution is required. Placement of Elevate on top. It seems to work, although I'd like to use the mounting holes on the bottom of the soundbar to attach it, but they're too far from the wall. I live in earthquake country, so.
