I'll start with the worst as even the worst isn't that bad but I try to keep my reviews full and accurate. the "rocking back" that occurs when our overly excited younger furry toddler runs and her older but younger sister chases after her. You see, the problem is that the little sister is a regular Standard Poodle three times or more larger than a medium coat baby that is a very small Corgi. She's actually quite small compared to most Corgis, but with more energy, poise and speed than most. How does this cause a problem? Well, when Piper gallops out the door, the momentum of the sash swings back to the side and hits Layla in the face if she's not careful, but she's learned to wait for the door to stop. I would love if the magnetic bottom was strong enough to stop the rocking back but that doesn't even deserve a star deduction because they are very smart girls and Layla has figured it out except on the rare occasions when she is too excited to wait. and she gets a reminder. Now for the BIG! I like this door because of the multi-level flex panel door. Back to Layla and Piper (plus our oldest and tallest Bella, who is also a Standard Poodle and a lot bigger than her accomplices). Thanks to the flexible tiers in the door, Layla doesn't have to slide the entire sash to get out. The bottom part curves and slides smoothly down her back as she comes out. This makes him a lot less intimidating for Shorty. However, given the overall size of the larger version we decided to go with, the big girls are in and out and I never worry about them getting stuck. This door is way bigger than we need (dogs don't need giant barn doors to get through so please don't get that mixed up and I'm saying it's massive) for the biggest of the three, and we made it because we knew we could could end up with another big dog (probably bigger than the one we have now) in the future so we wanted to be ready. In summary, the door is great for both our 18 lb corgi and our very large 55 lb poodle. I think the only animal that could possibly have trouble with a door this size would be a small to medium sized cat, but that is why there are multiple sizes. Oh! One last important point to note: replacement valves are readily available if they go bad over time. I hope this is of help!
