No more draft! in dogs

We need to install a large dog door in our new lab. He practically had to agree to crawl through the old door. Wanted to get a new one but was concerned about the constant draft our old door had and worried that a larger door would create more draft. Put a new one in and there was very little traction! Noticed the holes for the dog lock in/out door were where most of the draft still got through, already used can insulation and solved the problem! This is a great door for the money, and the XL…

Good product - doors, gates and ramps

The product itself is good and very satisfied with its quality. The magnet is a bit stronger than I'd like and I don't know how well my little dog can get it to detach, so for now while I'm studying it's going to be kept off the door (yes, I know I'm air). conditional peace when the dog comes out of the cage and has to get up, hoping it's only temporary). My other problem is that we have a standard door. The "metal" doors that most have (I had no idea they were full of styrofoam. how is that…

Pros
  • Good product
Cons
  • Only available in white

The only reason I give 4 stars is because the leaves that make up the entire 'door' don't always close properly unless they are lifted and reinserted. This doesn't mean the door won't close, just that it won't close and doesn't close as tightly and securely as I had hoped. . The door is built in between our main house and the three season porch and insulates quite well in the winter. Our two cats break through several times a day and so far there are no signs of wear and tear. So there's a bit…

You will replace the valve frequently!

I have had this door for eighteen months. It was commonly used by Shelties, Yorkies, and Morks in Southern California. That works fine. Why 1 star rating? Because the rubber between the flaps now diverges and doesn't dangle much anymore, especially between the two bottom flaps. I called the manufacturer and was told the valve has a one year warranty. I've been told they last a year, 18 months, sometimes longer depending on wear and tear. In other words, this thing is designed to wear out pretty

Great for dogs of all sizes

I'll start with the worst as even the worst isn't that bad but I try to keep my reviews full and accurate. the "rocking back" that occurs when our overly excited younger furry toddler runs and her older but younger sister chases after her. You see, the problem is that the little sister is a regular Standard Poodle three times or more larger than a medium coat baby that is a very small Corgi. She's actually quite small compared to most Corgis, but with more energy, poise and speed than most. How

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Our old aluminum shop door had a PetSafe branded pet door for many years and as winter approached we found the door wasn't closing properly as the seal had come loose and we needed a good breeze had. We considered replacing the flap, but then we had the opportunity to replace the old battered storm door with a thick fiberglass exterior door for free via a Craigslist ad. I started looking for other pet door options for a door this thick and after hours of research and reading reviews (thanks to…
