Picked up a butane insert for my Zippo recently. Cool idea, but it was just this side of useless as it would never stay lit for more than a fraction of a second. While I knew butane could be a little quirky at altitude, I didn't think a Zippo lighter would be so finicky. I stumbled across PUROFINE whilst searching for "high altitude." Figured I'd give it a shot.Gamechanger.Lighter lights and stays lit at every click, Even at 10,000 ft. Did have to turn the gas valve WAY down as this stuff burns like mad. Not exactly cheap, but then again, it doesn't take much to fill a lighter. If your Zippo butane insert is giving you fits, definitely give this stuff a go.
