Review on πŸ”Š Sceptre C305W-2560UN: 30" Ultrawide Curved Monitor with DisplayPort, Build-In Speakers, and HD Quality by Cory Tucker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Most likely I will take the second, BUT.

I've had this monitor for almost 2 months now. It replaced a 27-inch flat-screen that (didn't notice until I made changes) washed out colors. It is important that you know this for this review. Finally, you jump from a 1997 car to a 2022 car. , you will of course be amazed, right? My old computer died and I had to build a new computer. So I thought I should get a new sexy monitor right away. One of my friends has been telling me over and over how he would get a curved monitor that I hadn't even heard of before. Well, new computer, it's worth searching for "curved monitor" and here I am. Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU. Don't laugh, I know this isn't cutting-edge technology. I build my computers for accessibility and expandability. The $900 GPU card you're trying to crack with Revain drivers today will be very cheap relatively soon. Other than that, pretty much everything I went through with this monitor was amazing: Colors: Again, the old monitor was visibly washed out, but seriously. y bright colors, black suuuuuper black. Decision: hit or miss. Sometimes the content I'm streaming has black bars on the left and right. Sometimes I can't switch to full screen mode because it only enlarges what part of the screen it looks like. Maybe it's the graphics card, I don't know. However, every video game I've played has actually been full screen. Civ 6, Killing Floor, World of Tanks, Fallout 4. Although I don't use it for work, the monitor works great with Word and Excel. Durability: This monitor sits on my desk. Once I hit the table hard, afraid that the monitor would fall from the back (there is no wall behind the table). It is not so. The base is solid metal, but it's a ring. I don't know if it matters if it's solid, I think it will matter if that ring/base is further behind the monitor than it is, but I don't belittle the stars for my clumsiness. Instead I'll find a way to attach the face of this ring to my table, preferably without having to screw it into the table top, but that's not out of the question. Price: I remember paying so much for my first one, I believe it's a 20 inch flat screen. Not only am I happy with the price, I'm starting to seriously consider getting a second monitor like this (and may need to secure it with screws, ugh). All in all: no regrets. I don't have the shrewd eye that many of the naysayers in these reviews have. But it's great for gaming, great for streaming, and there's no problem with Word or Excel. Everything I need at a very reasonable price!
