Review on πŸ”Š Sceptre C305W-2560UN: 30" Ultrawide Curved Monitor with DisplayPort, Build-In Speakers, and HD Quality by Steve Wanogho

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Refresh rate for my opinion

Our display is 100Hz! We used the included Displayport cable and our options are 60Hz, 75Hz or 100Hz! I turned off the computer and replaced the displayport cable with the old HDMI cable we were using because I wanted to see what options I had now, a different cable. To my surprise, we had the same opportunities! 60, 75 and 100 Hz! Now we're going to use our old HDMI cable, which is still in good condition, so we can get sound from a reliable old GTX1650! I don't know what type of HDMI cable I'm using other than what it says about high speed. We also never see the 85Hz option, we only have 60, 75 and 100. Colors and contrast are noticeably brighter. We received several comments from friends about "Wow, what a beautiful and bright screen!". "Your new screen is so bright!" We only use the default settings that the monitor comes with, with the exception of enabling adaptive sync. The computer this display is connected to is quite old and mostly used for gaming. We play Fortnite, Roblox, Left 4 Dead, Horizon Zero Dawn and Assassin's Creed Odyssey on Windows 11, AMD fx9590, 32g RAM, Asus 990 fx mainboard, SSD and of course gtx1650. All these games run and look great on this display! The first thing that struck me was how smooth the mouse panning and browsing was! You can see every detail in the motion blur that I never noticed before. I thought it was cool. The speakers are ok, but not outstanding. However, they do their job when you need it. What I like is that they can be quite loud, which I can't say about most monitor speakers. This display has a few other options that I haven't even tried yet. I'm already getting such good results that it's hard for me to take my mind off the fun and experiment more with options instead. But it's game options for fps, rts and a few other settings that got greyed out when used so I don't know what to do with them and have never researched. But I give five stars!
