I have been cutting my hair with inferior and cheaper clippers for about 12 years; This clipper is excellent and makes a world of difference even on a short haircut. Too bad I didn't open and update it many years ago. The clippers and motor run so smoothly that I didn't even feel like they were cutting my hair the first time I used them (but of course I could see the results). Compared to my bad old clippers, it was like cutting hair with a laser. The Easter tips (e.g. comb no. 2) are also of high quality and are held securely by springs. Very happy with the purchase
