Works well, seal could be used
, I've read all the reviews about how the gasket in the box was crooked when they got their water pumps - mine was fine. There's a piece of cardboard to protect it. Maybe I was just lucky that mine wasn't damaged, but I was lucky. As a precaution, I bought another pad and was able to return it. This pump worked great on my 1988 F450 (F Super Duty) 7.3 liter diesel.
