A good last resort. Otherwise. Maybe try something nicer. Or much nicer.
I mean, to a certain extent, it's on me; You get what you pay for. I wanted an inexpensive cake leveler that arrived quickly and I got it. But yes, it's impressively thin, the wire is really difficult to adjust, and it's not serrated at all so you have to be very careful not to tear the cake. It did a relatively good job when I needed it, but I'll definitely order better now.
