The Bosch brand stands on a pedestal above many other suppliers. I can usually be sure that they offer a good product at a fair price and they have the support of many major companies that choose Bosch as an OEM. So that was the main reason I went with these brake pads and not many other brands. I'm disappointed. In terms of performance, they are okay. They hold up just like my original Audi pads. They are quiet, relatively dust-free and only time will tell if they wear properly. But Bosch still has to do something to improve it. I struggled with the outer pad for a long time, trying to connect it to the caliper before realizing that their retaining clips (both outer pads) were "disconnected" from the small bar they were supposed to attach to. Essentially, this meant that the support brace was too big for the hole. It wasn't until I compared the old to the new that I noticed this easily overlooked detail, and yet all I had to do was clamp with pliers to adjust the clamp properly. Installation was literally instant. But for 20 minutes as I struggled to get the first pad into place, trying to be careful not to soil the pad's surface, they were damned. left in a box without protection. It's a simple little device and luckily I was able to strip the parts off the old sensor to make it work even though it's not securely attached to the baseplate. Seriously, a simple little cardboard cutout is all it takes to get this sensor up and running and looking at other reviews I see I'm not the only one having this issue. Knowing all of this I might buy them again when the rear brakes are done, but Bosch needs to know they have a bit of work to do to ensure this product lives up to the high bar of their brand.
