I like that the lower tray can be removed. In the past, a similar but cheaper holder that was part of the assembly and could not be easily removed quickly (within a day) became infected with bacteria and smelled like E. coli. 🤢 This allows you to detach the tray without sacrificing stability or integrity, it is still beautifully finished and that way the water either evaporates or goes into the sink. does not stagnate. and a bottle of vegetable cleaning spray. The small compartment easily holds 2 thicker scrapers and can easily hold something the width of a wooden spoon or an extra bottle brush if needed.
