I have moved to a new location and the main front door was self-closing and very heavy. So I looked for a doorstop that would take the weight. I didn't know you had to do so much research to buy something for the simple function of holding a door! Stumbled across this one and decided to give it a try. And it worked! It's rubberized on both sides to keep it from slipping on a tiled floor. It's also relatively difficult. I read a review that said it didn't hold its heavy door so I was concerned I would have the same issue. I would recommend everyone to try it when in doubt because in my case this doorstop worked perfectly. Also, don't forget to measure the distance between the floor and the door! Obviously this won't work if the gap is wider than the height of the doorstop.
