I drive a 2013 Ford Escape SE 1.6L ecoboost Okay, I'll start by saying I've wanted a K&N filter for a long time but couldn't get one. I finally had no choice but to get this as the paper filter in my car was so clogged that my car was going to the limit I felt sooooo sluggish even at 80mph and my gas mileage has dropped dramatically. (My fault for waiting so long 😓😬). My engine light came on because my (turbo)psi was higher than it should be due to a clogged filter. I don't think there is another brand like K&N and the name itself makes me think better. It came very quickly, I'm a 28 year old guy with little driving experience. I didn't have any tools so I took it to the AutoZone main center, I had never changed a filter before so I didn't know what I was doing, yeah yeah laugh. I'm one of those first timers and I'm ready to go. A worker came with tools and helped me remove the old filter. MAN oh MAN the filter was clogged with scrap and filthy filthy. So I took out the K&N filter and just looking at it gave me goosebumps. The process was very simple, but you will need a couple of screwdrivers and a flat head screwdriver to loosen the clamp on the K&N filter so it is properly seated. Okay, so I take off, BRUH! The car pulled away very quickly and pushed me into place. I can hear the filter sucking in air saying I can breathe and my turbine hissed so loudly in a good way💯👍. Just hearing the air filter work is so awesome, it feels like I have more power and can definitely take off even faster. Thank goodness my gas mileage has improved a lot! Please get this, don't wait like me, choose K&N because these paper filters don't have security locks like K&N to block most of the bad dirt and debris, this is the best filter. Thanks to K&N for these filters! I will stock them up and also brought a spray for cleaning and oil changes👍.
