I liked the weight and size of the lens. I bought this lens to shoot eagles in the nest and in flight. This lens takes good distance shots, but requires a monopod or tripod. Focuses very slowly and only when the target is exactly in the center of the frame, limiting your composition. It does, however, allow you to take photos at distances beyond the range of the 70mm to 200mm lens without adding much extra weight. I decided to keep this lens until I could afford a faster zoom. You'll likely notice a difference in clarity, but at least you've captured memory for personal use.
