I needed KVM to connect my Debian Linux home computer and my Windows 10 laptop which I use for business purposes. The devices are connected to a 32-inch Samsung monitor and use a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse. The Windows machine connects via a USB 3 dock and then to KVM - Debian is a direct connection. It was a very easy connection - just plugged in the cables and everything worked great. The only thing I can say is the remote that came with it (I didn't actually know it came with the remote). Instructions were minimal. I googled battery and basic operation to learn. I use the remote control to switch between cars. It works great too. Switching between computers is very fast, and KVM keeps the connected devices (monitor, keyboard, mouse) on the separate computer, so when you switch back it really is. It also passed monitor information clearly to each device and both devices have it easily recognized. So no problem, smooth switching, decent remote control and stable performance. on both machines. Personally, I use the Windows key and the left or right arrow to move the window to the left or right side of the screen. Both systems work pretty much the same with this key combination. If more than 2 windows are open on a Windows computer, all other open windows will be displayed and you will be prompted to select the 2nd window to position it on the other side of the originally selected window. I would highly recommend this product to others. Update: 10/04/2018 I noticed something related to the keyboard in device operation that might be helpful for others. In my particular case, I've found that hotkey operations (screen switching, beep control, etc.) only work when the device is plugged into the keyboard's USB port. When connected to a regular USB connection, it does not recognize any hotkey operations. Connecting to a regular USB port allows for advanced keyboard features (control music, launching a computer, email, etc.), while connecting to a USB keyboard disables advanced features. I prefer to use the device's remote to switch screens and plug the keyboard into the universal USB port for extended keyboard capabilities. I still like the device very much - very solid function.
