Used with my 5 year old daughter. I was wrong to think these are small, these beads are large, all my fault, the description clearly says XL. Either way, still a great buy. It took me at least 45 minutes. She did happy 3 with the heart plate, back to back. Due to the larger size, this is ideal for younger children. My child has amazing dexterity so even the smallest can do it, but this is probably best for most children in the late preschool age group. The set included parchment paper which is very good. The beads are well melted just a little longer due to the size. I used the highest heat on the iron. But it melted evenly and turned out to be a very strong piece. Too heavy to be a magnet though, so we threaded string through the remaining small holes and hung it on the wall and window. A+
