I use a bike pump and digital pressure gauge to inflate car tires. Standard lever linkages on bike pumps, like the acclaimed Schwin, have become large/obnoxious/bulky/heavy for use on car tires. In some cases, depending on the length of the valve stem, installation was not possible without removing the caps. This hose solves the problem. One end is exactly the same as the Schrader valve in the car, so I attach a bike pump to that end first. I do this first as this hose is basically an extension and doesn't have a valve. So if I start with the tire and unscrew the tube, the air comes out. After connecting to the pump I screw the female end of the hose onto the tire valve, there is a second or more when I leak some air but not much and tighten quickly. At this point everything is sealed and I can add a bike pump and use the pump's pressure gauge to measure the pressure. I always overfill and then remove the hose and fine tune with a digital gauge.
