Great device! 100% functional!
Insert a CD into the dash and you will hear a rhythmic "beep" [at #3], point the tester at the center of the speaker [no door panel or grille] three times, about 3 inches apart, and press the top [positive] key . Each time the green light blinked three times and then red once. Conclusion: I have laid the speaker cables correctly. Further testing: I swapped the speaker wires. Result: 3 red flashes, then 1 green flash. Conclusion: The cables are connected incorrectly. Great gadget for less than $10. Lots of positive reviews and my experience with this great gadget for less than $10 makes me recommend this speaker polarity detection device. I was relieved to know that all [four] car speakers were properly connected.
