This is a really handy board size for portability, with plenty of room to install multiple good projects at once. I mainly use (as shown in the photo) 6mm and 8mm beads which fit perfectly in the grooves and still allow me to securely put the lid on for travel or safekeeping when needed which is a huge plus . I'm deducting 1 star just because the item I received definitely not the one shown in the sales ad. I bought for this particular layout that sits between the bead grooves and has 4 large bead spots instead of 4 small ones and a large center. can definitely make it awkward having all the tiny little sections instead of the prettier big ones. But it's great for bracelets, and it's nice to finally see something, color pattern and length right in a handy little travel case. Sturdy, well made and safe.
