I have an 18lb Miniature Pinscher and it fits perfectly in the basket. I haven't taken it with me yet because it seems a bit unsafe to me. I will add a line to the basket and stuffing. I have a feeling that my dog might bang his head on the handles and frame of the basket. Hence 4 stars and not 5. However when used for storage this basket is amazing. It also detaches easily so you can take Simicaars with you from the grocery store. I can imagine driving to the local farmer's market, removing my basket for my goods, then resealing it and returning home.
