Disappointment Really. I bought a very good soldering iron from Weller decades ago and used it for many years until it stopped working. So a few years ago I bought a Weller 7200 at a local hardware store. I've struggled with this since day one. It got hot all the time and then when I tried to heat the wires to melt the solder the tip gets cold and doesn't do its job. And yes, I thoroughly cleaned the tip pins where they meet the gun. I don't use a soldering iron regularly, but when I need one I want it to work properly.
