Review on JBL Flip 4 Teal: The Ultimate Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker by Micha ochowski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall it's good but I expect more, there are some downsides.

I bought it to replace the interstep sbs 160. But I made a serious mistake with the choice: due to the location of the speaker, it is almost inaudible in a standard mount on the frame when driving on the highway. Even the bass barely gives over the frame. She's really quiet. We were traveling with a friend, who also drew attention to a barely audible column. They connected it to both the player and the phone. No, it’s not defective, it’s just not intended for a bicycle: the location of the buttons on the body is unsuccessful - it will hurt the bottles with fastening, the battery needs to be more powerful (20 hours at maximum volume), add a plug to the connector (there is still sand on the roads, sometimes salt , moisture), the location of the speaker does not allow you to feel the power of the speaker (the outlets are located along the frame; control panel on the steering wheel (not always and not everywhere there is Internet or radio, and you need to save your phone charge on the trip). What and who sings on the go is incomprehensible. At full volume, I worked for about 4.5 hours. Not recommended for cyclists. For all other cases, apparently, it will do with a bang: the sound is not weak, although, after stereo, mono still sounds too flat.

Pros
  • 1. good build quality 2. bass 3. type C connector 4. Easy to connect 5. charging speed. 6. the ability to work in tandem with similar speakers
Cons
  • 1. mono 2. there is no indication of the charge level through the phone (the indication on the case is indistinct, to see the charge, you need to poke the button) 3. no plug connector 4. no built-in player 5. no AUX 6. overpriced.
