Perfect replacement for the 40w bulb in our Frigidaire FKC17F7QTA convertible freezer/fridge that we use all the time in the office. warm glow, similar to the original 40 watt tungsten that came with our fridge. The big plus is that this light uses a lot less energy, burns cooler, lasts longer and gives off a little more light. This lamp also has no flickering issues, even with constant on and off cycles in our heavy duty work environment. The closest I got to this deal was when I discovered that these LED bulbs were actually cheaper than the tungsten bulbs offered by the manufacturer! Although rated for the 75 watt halogen equivalent, this LED is only marginally brighter than a 40 watt tungsten LED in my experience. The light bulb in it has been replaced (which is just perfect for our needs). Always try to get an LED bulb that is rated for a higher brightness than the replacement halogen or tungsten bulb, as LED bulb manufacturers tend to exaggerate the brightness of their bulbs. Also note that using a high brightness LED bulb in a lower wattage outlet (within reason) is 100% safe as it draws very little power and produces almost no heat. In my case, the 75W LED brightness (with only 7W actual consumption) was ideal for my 40W socket.
