Review on Nature-Inspired Knitting: 39 Designs Inspired by Patterns in Nature by Linda Diaz

Awesome and fabulous with two little "buts "

I'll start with a "but". The lack of metric measurements is torment for a continental European. I've also learned from the reviews that there are some flaws in the templates that would be bad enough in another book, but in this one it's a real shame. Fortunately, both problems are easily solved with a calculator and the internet. Nevertheless: I love this book and some of the drawings are so beautiful that I was speechless. Some of these are too fancy for me to wear, but the Vortex sweater alone would be worth the money. The book is well laid out and the diagrams are clear. Some may argue that the photos are strange - some of them are - but they make the book different from others. Each project is preceded by a brief explanation of its connection with nature, and the explanations make it a great read. And one more thing: the book is aimed at experienced knitters. The patterns are very complex. However, less experienced knitters may consider purchasing this book to encourage them to learn more.
