I've been buying these brownies in one flavor or another for over a year, and had been buying/subscribing to this specific brownie for almost all of this year. Which makes deciding to stop a personally painful decision. but the latest box i received is clearly a different recipe than the one they'd been using until now, and it's for the worse.as a fan and consumer of brownies for more years than i care to admit, i have a good idea of what makes a good brownie. it should use a cake like batter, but be a denser, moist, less airy baked good than a cake, as cake are, with few exceptions, light and airy.The latest batch I received weren't dense like brownie - they were airy , like cakes. The flavor was okay, but because they were airier, hey weren't as moist, and definitely didn't have the same density one expects from a brownie.Maybe I've been spoiled by their consistency, but I didn't expect them to change a really good product. But they did, and it's just not as good as it was. so, I'm changing my subscriptions, and this won't be one anymore. Sincerely, a bummed out former customer.
