Educational, 3/8 " thick, odorless.
We love it and so does my 3 year old. 3/8" thick and reasonably well padded. No smell at all. The letters come out of the squares. I recommend sticking inner small pieces like 8,6,9 4,D,G crazy. Their small centers will be lost or chewed up. In addition, we happily call out numbers and letters, and the baby searches for them and points to them.
