My mechanic and I had this product run a couple of times then the flange that the cable attaches to flexed and we bolted it to the transom frame. The electronics seem fine, but the entire assembly is a hassle to install unless you have a heated garage. I ordered an OEM latch which some say isn't much better but is 2.5 times more expensive. Many people say this is a manufacturer's fault, but the machine is old.
