OK, but it could be better. I will not buy it again nor recommend it.

I used a magnetic vent mount but since my vent louvers are vertical instead of horizontal it tends to slide over the vent. I love the concept of this mount because it gives me more placement options. As the mount is hinged to the edge of the dashboard and I thought it would be perfect I'm a little disappointed. The design is great but in the sun the mount detached from the dash when my phone wasn't even tethered. This can probably be remedied with the additional adhesive mount that comes with the kit, but I'm waiting to use it a little longer before using a more permanent solution to mount it to the dash. The magnet is strong, but since the magnet is sealed with hard plastic, the surface is a bit slippery. All magnet holders I have used so far have a silicone cap which makes the magnet even more effective. With a metal plate inside the phone case, the phone slid down and fell off the magnet. If I put a metal plate on the outside of the case it holds up fine. The third and biggest disappointment is that there is a lot of play where the magnet attaches to the hand. I can adjust the magnet head to the correct angle and tighten the lock nut and it holds it very tight, but the little ball joint that attaches the magnet to the arm is loose. When I drive on the road, the phone shakes quite a lot. I suspect the magnet is a contributing factor to the phone falling as well as the slippery surface. All in all it will work. If you don't mind the phone shaking, you can attach the holder to the dashboard with a double-sided adhesive pad, and if you attach the magnetic plate to the outside of the housing, everything is fine.
