I bought these as a backup in case my Insignia kit from another store didn't arrive before our trip. I never intended to use them unless we have the rest. We received both in the mail the day before we left. I decided to compare the kits and stopped there. I really like the seat mounts. Clamps are great and the shade and connector can be quickly detached if needed. This was necessary for us as we didn't want them sitting in the car in the hotel car park all night. They also adjust to tilt the screen up and down, with a wheel locking it in place. There's also a strap option, but it's not the best. I would have liked it better if it had a clip or buckle so you could adjust the length of the strap and not have to tighten it every time. They are also very convenient to use. My almost 6 year old figured it out in minutes and my 3 year old figured out how to play and pause pretty quickly. A button also toggles between disc and AV input. You don't have to scroll through the settings to switch it. I'll say straight away that we didn't use an AV cable because the picture quality on the second player isn't very good. Although the picture quality was excellent using only discs. The 12V charging cable can charge both at the same time. We have a Subaru Ascent that has a 12 volt plug between the driver and passenger seats on the dash. I was able to get the cables to both players when installed with the brackets. It was just before the 5 o'clock mark before we had to plug them in. I like rechargeable batteries so we don't always have to plug in cords! We didn't use the remote as our kids could get to the game. button with the toes. :-) In general, highly recommended!
