This is genius!

We are renovating our basement - no help from anyone as it is now illegal in NYC to have non-essential labor in your home so we stop the spread of Covid-19. We're turning it into a library with a sofa bed for an extra guest bedroom, but there's that low beam [with pipes in them] that you keep banging your head against. [Cm. Fig.] This is the only product on the market that is thick enough and large enough for practical use. Its thickness is 5/8 and the waves make it more tangible. It's 8 feet wide and you get plenty of length. We needed 10 rolls because this "bundle" is long and wide. You simply peel off the backing and the adhesive sets instantly. A little note about cutting. It says it cuts "easily," and it really does. But be aware [my husband and I both had brand new large scissors] that if you use regular scissors they will pick up some glue and need to be peeled off and also the yellow paper backing can get mini tears which just means that you should be more careful. But the extra 5 minutes you spend are worth it! Of course it's great if you need to protect car doors, but you can also use it to soften a wall for any reason you want. Because it's black β€” and looks really good on its own β€” and our room will be blue and white, I'm going to use a 240-inch cornice and put a curtain over it to make it look prettier, and also to provide an extra warning that stands out this beam is in the middle of the room. I'll add photos when I'm done. Thank you Spurtar for developing such a cool and wonderful product!
