Can not be used. The cat goes crazy for what it's made of.
There is something added or natural in the fibers or what they are made of that makes our cat go berserk. I put it on the floor, and she began to tear it apart, growling, hissing, and in general a feral cat on it (she has all the claws). I washed it hoping to remove what was there but that didn't work so we now have a beautiful rug that we can't use. If you don't have a cat, this makes a very cute rug. However, since I can't identify or wash off the substance, I wouldn't use it around infants or young children for fear it might harm them. Too bad because it's really cute!
