Great for art and magic tricks. I know some people buy them for card games but I don't quite understand why. At $10 each, it's pretty expensive to have your buddies touch you and pour you beer (that's why I buy Kems cards or other plastic playing cards). Theory 11 makes good card designs. The Monarchs are made by the USPCC, but by Q1. FYI, Q1 doesn't mean they use any special process, it means they have the highest quality control technicians in the manufacturing process so these cards are as defect free as the USPCC can make. The cards are very slippery making them great for spreads and fans but a bit tricky for pack management. Although quite manageable. The case is beautiful and feels comfortable. All decks are standard except for the ace of spades and associated jokers which are custom made. The good thing is that while the cards look cooler than a bike deck, they don't look like a trick deck. I think the best compliment you can give a deck is that it looks good and handles well. The monarchs are making great strides on both counts.
