Very vulnerable to tank wrecks.

As one reviewer noted above, this pump is VERY susceptible to fuel tank deposits. These pumps are made in the Czech Republic - not for the Czechs, they have great food. However, they are marked as Bosch OEM replacement pumps, which I don't believe. Also, they are very expensive compared to other models with comparable performance. Since this pump is used on OLD cars, before you replace the fuel pump (or you will replace it again in 2-3 weeks), I strongly recommend the following: 1. Drop your tank and acid clean and fill new out. Replace ALL fuel lines between tank and fuel pump with new hose3. If your in-tank fuel screen was removed and re-lined during an acid wash, you will never get it back in place. An in-line fuel filter is highly recommended (I used Hastings FF1125 filters) as these pumps require it. This will void your warranty if you DO NOT have a fuel filter.4. Also replace the lower fuel filter.5. Fill the fuel tank with clean gas and injector cleaner - who knows what went downstream. 6. Finally, someone said the filter should be BEFORE the pump. This will NOT work on some vehicles as the pressure drop across the filter will cause the rear pump pressure to be too low and make you hesitate when accelerating. Find a fuel filter with negligible pressure drop and large surface area in front of the pump. Good luck but I would only spend $35 on fakes until you make sure the fuel supply is CLEAN.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
