First of all, this is *non* genuine part as the name suggests. This is a Bosch OEM - there is no Mercedes marking or part number anywhere. Replaced one of my fuel pumps on my 1987 Mercedes 560 SL Coupe. This pump fits perfectly and is bolted. The only complaint I have is that Bosch has to supply two new snap rings for the fuel return valve end cap. I was a little nervous about reusing the old two but it started right up and ran like a champ. I think it may have even solved my idle problem I had before changing the pump. A word of caution! As one reviewer noted above, this pump is VERY susceptible to fuel tank deposits. These pumps are made in the Czech Republic - not for the Czechs, they have great food. To save someone else some serious time, here are a few things to look out for. A pump is made in the Czech Republic, not China, so that's good. As others have pointed out, the wiring connection isn't the same as on a factory Ford truck (possibly on other cars as well). The Ford connection is an impeller and the new pump is a threaded boss.
